Brown B'er
A quick post just to provide a few pictures of the only time I saw a brown bear here. As fate would have it, I was without my camera for a rare moment and there he is. Luckily, my mother's camera was available and although it didn't zoom very far, we still got the proof Scott's always demanding.

jonathan, our paths crossed for a very short period of time (i think we might have spent a total of 6 minutes together), but you know the man i pledged my life to - christopher. ;) i love blogs, and you're an excellent writer/blogger (despite what your "fans" say) i've enjoyed reading about your adventures in the far north, and am beyond bummed that you are no longer there! somewhere in the middle of reading about the aurora boreallis (or however you spell it) i decided that we were going to come visit you in october. alas. i confess my motives were not to visit you, but alaska itself. i realized this when i held no desire to visit ohio...i'm sorry. :( but who knows what the future holds???
i rambled.
Looks like a dog to me.
Well, I am still here, but I won't be in October sadly. Of course you never know what will happen in two years, but at least for now, the plan is to come back after I'm done with school. Regardless, you do have to come here some time. It's great. And good to hear from you. I do have some pretty fair-weather "fans."
I was thinking it looked more like a groundhog.
okay, i took this proof and tested it in my lab.
after saving it to my desktop, i opened the picture and zoomed in incredibly close.
unfortunately, it seems what you captured on "film" is a brown smudge surrounded by grey squares. hey, at least you got the color right!
sorry, jonathan. better luck next time.
THOSE STINKING ELUSIVE BROWN BEARS!
